About Our Wheelie Bin Cleaning Service

How the cleaning process works, what we use, and what to expect on the day.

What cleaning products do you use? +

We use hospital-grade disinfectants that eliminate 99.9% of harmful bacteria including E.coli, MRSA, Salmonella, Listeria and Influenza A. All our products are:

  • Biodegradable and fully eco-friendly
  • Safe for children, pets and local wildlife
  • Approved by the Food Standards Agency
  • Compliant with UK Health & Safety regulations
How long does a bin clean take? +

Each bin takes around 3–5 minutes to clean properly. The full process includes:

  • Pre-rinse — initial flush to loosen debris (30 seconds)
  • High-pressure deep clean — interior and exterior (2–3 minutes)
  • Disinfectant treatment — hospital-grade sanitisation (1 minute)
  • Final rinse and repositioning — bin returned to your property (30 seconds)

We work efficiently and thoroughly — the job is never rushed.

What time of day do you clean bins? +
  • Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Same-day service available for bookings before 1:00pm
  • We operate throughout the year (excluding Christmas period)

We coordinate with your local Wirral council collection schedule to clean your bin after it's been emptied and return it before you need it again.

Can you clean a bin that hasn't been fully emptied? +

We prefer to clean bins after your Wirral council collection for the most thorough result. If there's a small amount of remaining waste we can work around it — any loose waste will be bagged and left beside the bin.

Best practice: Schedule your clean for the day after your regular collection day for the best possible result.
Do I need to be home when you clean my bins? +

No — you don't need to be in. As long as your bin is accessible, we'll clean it and return it to its usual spot. We leave a calling card or send a confirmation message so you know it's been done.

Payments & Subscriptions

How to pay, set up a subscription, and manage your account.

What payment methods do you accept? +

We accept two payment methods:

  • Direct Debit — automatic monthly payments, most popular option
  • PayPal Subscription — secure online payments, cancel anytime

Payment frequencies available: monthly, quarterly (10% discount), or annual (15% discount).

Can I set up a monthly Direct Debit? +

Yes — Direct Debit is our most popular option. It takes 2 minutes to set up during booking and you're fully protected by the UK Direct Debit Guarantee.

  • Automatic payments — nothing to remember
  • Cancel or modify with 30 days' notice
  • Email confirmation for every payment
Can I cancel my subscription at any time? +

Yes. There are no long-term contracts. Give us 30 days' notice to cancel a Direct Debit, or cancel your PayPal subscription directly through your PayPal account at any time.

Maggots, Smells & Bin Issues

How we tackle the most common wheelie bin problems on the Wirral.

How do you get rid of maggots in a wheelie bin? +

Our professional cleaning process kills fly eggs and larvae on contact and removes the organic residue that attracts flies in the first place:

  • High-pressure cleaning removes all organic waste from crevices and lid seals
  • Specialist disinfectant breaks the fly breeding cycle
  • Thorough treatment of all internal surfaces where eggs are laid
Prevention tip: Keep your bin lid fully closed, wrap food waste tightly, and maintain a regular cleaning schedule. Regular monthly cleaning prevents maggots recurring.
Can you remove bad smells from a wheelie bin? +

Yes — eliminating smells is one of the main reasons customers come to us. Bad odours are caused by bacteria and decomposing organic matter inside the bin. Our process:

  • Enzyme-based cleaners break down odour-causing bacteria at the source
  • Deep sanitisation removes all residue from every surface
  • Neutralises ammonia and sulfur compounds that cause the worst smells
  • Long-lasting deodorisation treatment after cleaning
What if my bin is damaged during cleaning? +

In 25+ years of trading it has never happened — but if it did, you're fully covered.

  • We carry full public liability insurance
  • Any damage is reported to you immediately
  • Replacement or repair arranged within 48 hours at no cost to you
